Open Trustee Positions
The Morton Grove Public Library Board of Trustees announces that there soon will be two open trustee positions to be filled by appointment. Interested residents should complete this application form. Forms must be returned to the library by May 5, 2017 for full consideration. Interviews will be conducted with selected applicants. The two chosen candidates will be seated at the June 2017 board meeting and serve through the next general election in 2019. At that time, incumbents are encouraged to run for an elected term.
The Library's board of trustees meets at 7:00 pm on the second Thursday of each month. All meetings are held at the Morton Grove Public Library, 6140 Lincoln Ave., Morton Grove, Illinois; are open to the public; and include a designated time for public comments. Additional special meetings may be scheduled as necessary.
2017 Regular Board Meetings: Jan. 12, Feb. 9, Mar. 9, Apr. 13, May 11, June 8, July 13, Aug. 10, Sep. 14, Oct. 12, Nov. 9, Dec. 14.

Meeting agendas, minutes, and other documents from the last four months are listed below; use the "Month," "Year," and/or "Category" selections to see earlier documents. The following documents are available:
Monthly board meetings: agendas, minutes and librarian's reports, beginning September 2005; videos beginning April 2011.
Finance committee: agendas, beginning February 2011; minutes beginning June 2011.
Other committees: agendas and minutes for all such committees beginning June 2011; varies prior to June 2011.
Minutes of committee or full board meetings are posted after being approved, which generally occurs at the next meeting of that committee or of the full board. They are posted under the meeting to which they apply, not the meeting at which they were approved.
The financial and librarian's reports presented at each monthly board meeting reflect the previous month's activity, and are dated with that month, not the month at which they're presented.
Prior to 2014, these reports were included with other documents for the month to which they applied: for example, reports for June, presented at the July meeting, were included under the June meeting.
Beginning with the January, 2014, board meeting, these reports are included under the month at which they are presented: reports for June, presented at the July meeting, are included under the July meeting.
Note: Board meetings were not videotaped from June 2014 through October 2014.
