Overdues charges are 15¢ per day, except for DVDs, videotapes, video games, and interlibrary loans, which are $1 per day

MGPL cards can be used at all suburban libraries, at the Chicago Public Library, and at most libraries throughout Illinois.
You will generally need your current photo ID and your MGPL card to register at another library (procedures and rules vary from library to library; you may want to call the other library first).
In order to be used in other libraries, your MGPL card has to be in good standing [what does it mean? no fines at all?]
Libraries may place limits on the number and types of materials non-residents can borrow.

Donations of books and audiovisual materials can be brought to the Check-Out Desk.

The library's Materials Selection Policy will be used to determine which materials are appropriate to be added to the collection; others will be added to the book sale or discarded. Proceeds from the Library book sale benefit the Library collection in general and/or other Library projects and services.
