Library Study and Meeting Rooms

The Morton Grove Public Library has study rooms of varying capacity, an auditorium and a board room that are available for reservation by the public. Study and meeting rooms at the Morton Grove Public Library are available for use to Morton Grove Public Library cardholders in accordance with the following guidelines.

  • The auditorium and the boardroom are available to non-profit groups for non-commercial, cultural, informational, educational, intellectual and civic purposes.

  • Morton Grove Business Library Card holders may reserve the board room for private business related meetings.

  • The study rooms are available for individual or group study and can be reserved by phone by Morton Grove residents, or at the library by any card holder.

  • Room availability is contingent on there being no conflict with Library programs or meetings, which have first priority at all times.

  • The Library Director or designee reserves the right to determine use of the rooms, to assess fees for use of the rooms, and to cancel or reschedule all arrangements, at his or her discretion, with or without cause or reason, and without liability.

The fact that a group is permitted to meet at the Morton Grove Public Library does not in any way constitute an endorsement of the group's policies and beliefs. The library charges a minimal fee to offset the cost of hosting outside use of the rooms. The library does not benefit financially from usage by non-library organizations and businesses.

Auditorium:  $50 non-refundable staffing/maintenance fee
Board Room: $50 refundable technology fee

Failure to abide by this policy and the related regulations will result in cancellation or refusal of reservations.

Approved by the Morton Grove Public Library Board of Trustees, April 17, 2014; amended April 9, 2015; January 14, 2016.
