The Morton Grove Public Library began as a volunteer organization over 75 years ago, and volunteers are still a vital part of library operations, assisting library staff with a wide range of services. MGPL volunteers are enthusiastic, life-long learners, who are looking to serve their community.
If you would like to be a teen volunteer (Grades 7th -12th), please fill out the teen volunteer application.
To volunteer at the library, please complete the adult volunteer (age 18 and above) application (PDF) or fill out the online form. If completing a paper copy, please return it to any public service desk. After the application has been received, the volunteer coordinator will be in contact with you to set up an interview. Following the interview, a background check will be completed if the job selected is Homebound Deliveries or one related to Youth Services. Orientation and training are provided.
