BATTLE OF THE BOOKS HAS BEGUN

The 2015 Battle of the Books kicked off on February 24 with a head-to-head match of two teams from Park View School, when the self-proclaimed team “The Losers” were the winners against team “Battle Brains.” This Spring, students in 6th-8th grade from five local school will compete in 15 battles to test their knowledge on 50 books. The Battle of the Books trophy and bragging rights are on the line, so come cheer on the students at an upcoming battle.

READ TO THE RAINBOW DOGS

What kid wouldn't love reading to a patient and attentive dog? Children ages 5-12 can practice reading to a certified therapy dog from Morton Grove's own Rainbow Animal Assisted Therapy Foundation. GO GREEN FOR VILLAGE GREENING

Village Greening is a community-wide initiative in Morton Grove to demonstrate and encourage best practices in energy conservation and sustainability. Through May 2015, a different community organization will focus on a specific green initiative each month that you can implement in your everyday life.
