The opportunity to purchase the property, at a greatly reduced price, first became available barely two weeks prior to the purchase decision, meaning that it came too late in the planning process of the library's remodeling project to be completely integrated into those plans. Nonetheless, library staff are developing strategies to take advantage of the additional space the new building provides, both in the short term immediately following completion of the existing facility's remodeling, and in the longer term.
