A mobile app is an application program that runs on smartphones,  tablets and other mobile devices. Mobile apps are used for information  retrieval, location services, banking, email, games, and more.  Depending on the device, apps can be downloaded from the Apple App Store (iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad) or Google Play (Android devices).  A selected list of mobile apps used for reading and accessing library resources is presented below. Library Related Apps

	BookMyne, the Library's app, lets you search the Library’s catalog, manage your account, and find suggested reading instantly with your mobile device. Available for Android, iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad.
	Overdrive Media Console allows you to download e-books and e-audiobooks from the Library directly to your device. More Information Available for Android, iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad.
	Zinio allows you to read the library's e-magazines on your device. If you're checking out magazines to read on a device, the Zinio app is only connected to the free commercial Zinio account. So to browse the library's collection, always begin in a web browser, then read in the app. Available for Android, iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Blackberry.
	EBSCOhost provides access to thousands of journal articles, from National Geographic to People to scholarly publications. More information Available for Android, iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad.
	Mango offers step-by-step web tutorials for 45 languages, as well as 15 ESL courses. Lessons cover vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, and culture in real-world situations. More Information. Available for Android, iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad.
	ReferenceUSA provides access to U.S and Canadian businesses, and White Pages, New Businesses, Healthcare, Consumers, and New Homeowners online databases. Use it to find and research businesses by company name, location, or business type; conduct market research; find friends and relatives; look for detailed information on physicians, dentists, and more. 	AccessMyLibrary *Public Edition* uses GPS to find libraries within a 10-mile radius of your location, then gives you free, unlimited access to their Gale online resources, such as American Decades, Business Plans Handbook, and others — without the need to log in. Reading Apps

	YALSA's (Young Adult Library Services Association) Teen Book Finder is a free app to help teens, parents, librarians, educators, and anyone who loves young adult literature access to the past three years' of YALSA's awards and lists on their smartphone. Use it to search for books by author, title, award and genre and share books from the Teen Book Finder on Twitter and Facebook. More information and a video. Available for iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad. 	Goodreads app lets you keep track of the books you've read and the ones you're planning to read, and you can use it to discuss and share recommendations with friends. Available for Android, iPhone, iPod, iPad.
