Summer Volunteers
Wamt to be a volunteer this summer? Download this aplication and return it to the Reference Services or Youth Services Desk by Tuesday, June 4. Applications will not be accepted after June 4. Summer volunteers must attend ONE training session on either Thursday, May 30 at 7:00 pm or Tuesday, June 4 at 4:30. Click here to sign up.
Summer Volunteers help with these tasks:

Interact with kids participating in the Morton Grove Public Library’s Youth Services’ Summer Library Challenge

Assist staff during storytimes or other programs

Help staff with special projects or other tasks

Teen Volunteers
The Library has a lot of volunteer opportunities! Any teen in 7-12 grade may apply to be a volunteer. During the school year (August-May), teens may receive service hours for these tasks:

Attending Teen Library Council (TLC) meetings

Assisting staff during Youth Services programs

Preparing crafts for programs
-
Other tasks, as needed

Teen Library Council (TLC)
Teen Library Council gives teens a chance to give input on what they want to see at the Library. At meetings, they can suggest programs, displays, polls for the website, and more! Teens earn a volunteer service hour for each meeting attended. New teens are always welcome!

Both school-year and STAR volunteers will be invited to a private volunteer party in August. Volunteers will also receive a letter of recommendation and certificate.
