Volunteering

The Morton Grove Public Library began as a volunteer organization over 80 years ago, and volunteers are still a vital part of library operations. We welcome enthusiastic lifelong learners who want to serve their community by assisting library staff with a wide range of services and programs.
 

 

APPLY TO VOLUNTEER

Adult Volunteer application (age 18 and above) (Print form)

Teen Volunteer application (grades 7-12) (Print form)

After we receive your application, the volunteer coordinator will contact you to set up an interview. Positions related to Homebound deliveries or Youth Services require a background check. Orientation and training are provided. See the full Volunteer policy.

 

 

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Here are the current opportunities for adult volunteers:

  • Program Assistant
  • Adopt-a-Shelf
  • ESL One-on-One Conversation Partner

COURT-ORDERED COMMUNITY SERVICE

We accept requests for court-ordered community service hours from adults 18 years and older, but not from teens.
