New logo, new look

With a new MGPL.org launching in late October, we felt it was a good time to reconsider the current Library logo. Though colorful and expressive of our “Read, Learn, Live” motto, it doesn’t fully represent the fact that the Morton Grove Public Library is about way more than books.
We’re about transforming lives.
We’re about creating opportunities.
We’re about providing spaces for growth and enrichment and play.
We’re also about storytimes and Wi-Fi hotspots and ebooks and concerts and so much more.
We wanted the Library’s logo to reflect all of this. We wanted something modern yet timeless, something that represents the Library as much as the Morton Grove community in general: friendly and open, with a small-town neighborhood charm and an eye on the future.
Created by our very talented graphic designer Karina Guico, MGPL’s new logo and updated branding will soon be featured in other promotional material, on the new website, and in the wider community. They mark a renewed vision for what your library can do for you, and we are so excited to share them.
As part of this new transformation, we’d love to hear your story about how libraries have transformed your life. Email email@example.com to share.
