As the world’s largest streaming video catalog of classical music, opera, and ballet, Medici.tv is a great destination for any classical music aficionado with a library card.

But it has such a wide range of impressively produced audio-visual content that it's also worth a look-see for anyone with even a passing appreciation for music.

Just to give you a sense of the depth and breadth of Medici.tv’s catalog, here are the kinds of things you can explore:

  • 3,500 musical works filmed from the 1940s through to the present day
  • 2,700 films including concerts, operas, ballets, documentaries
  • Live events streamed throughout the year from some of the world’s most prestigious venues
  • Master Classes presented by renowned musical talents (check out the one from Yo-Yo Ma!)
  • Concerts that span from the Baroque period to contemporary music

Ultimately, Medici.tv is something you have to experience to get a sense of. My recommendation is to just hop in, pick something that appeals to you, and marvel at the way these videos immerse you into the experience.

It's the perfect way to find some Zen in your day. Access it with your library card here or on our Download & Stream page.
