NOTE: Due to COVID-19 and the need for limiting the number of people in the Library at one time, we are suspending our volunteer program indefinitely. Please check back here for further updates or contact the volunteer coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org or 847-929-5115 if you have any questions.
The Morton Grove Public Library began as a volunteer organization over 80 years ago, and volunteers are still a vital part of Library operations. We welcome enthusiastic lifelong learners who want to serve their community by assisting Library staff with a wide range of services and programs.
We are currently not accepting any volunteer applications.
After we receive your application, the volunteer coordinator will contact you to set up an interview. Positions related to Homebound deliveries or Youth Services require a background check. Orientation and training are provided. See the full Volunteers policy.
Here are possible opportunities for adult volunteers:
- Program Assistant
- ESL One-on-One Conversation Partner
- Storytime Helper
- Rainbow Dogs assistant
- Technical Services assistant
- Homebound deliveries
For questions about availability, contact the volunteer coordinator at email@example.com or (847) 929-5115.
