📣 We've got spirit! Yes we do! We've got spirit! How 'bout YOU?

This year for National Library Week (April 3-9), we're hosting a Spirit Week celebration with fun daily activities that anyone can join.

MGPL Spirit Week

Participate in person at the Library or on social media by tagging us on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter with a photo of your contribution to each day’s theme. Every day you participate will increase your chances of winning a $100 Visa gift card!

Spirit Week Lineup

Shelfie Sunday (April 3)

Show us your shelves! Books, DVDs, plants, sports memorabilia—we want to see what you love to collect.

MGPL Monday (April 4)

Show off your library love by wearing an MGPL shirt or the library’s colors (navy, purple, or light blue).

Take A Picture Tuesday (April 5)

Share a selfie with your MGPL card, or stop by the Library and we’ll take one for you.

What's Good Wednesday (April 6)

Show us what you are currently reading, watching, or listening to.

Throwback Thursday (April 7)

Do you miss the ‘70s, ‘80s, or ‘90s? Dress up in the decade’s style of your choice OR share your favorite book as a child.

Favorite Friday (April 8)

Have a favorite book, movie, or team? Dress up as your favorite character or in your favorite sports gear.

Sweet Saturday (April 9)

Enjoy some donut holes on us from 9-11 am as a thanks for being a great community of library users! (While supplies last.)

On Sunday, April 10, we’re hosting a dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony for our newly renovated Youth Services Department. Join us for a brief reception and refreshments on the patio (weather permitting).
