Morton Grove Public Library is part of Cooperative Computer Services (CCS), a network of 26 area libraries that share an online catalog, user database, and other services. (See the full list of libraries.)
For questions about MGPL's involvement with CCS, contact the Circulation Desk at 847-929-5103 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Shared Online Catalog
When searching Morton Grove's catalog, you will see items owned by MGPL along with items owned by the other libraries in CCS. (Skokie is not a member of CCS.)
Automatic Card Registration
Because of the shared catalog and user database, you don't need to re-register your card separately at Niles, Glenview, Evanston, or other CCS libraries.
If an item you borrowed doesn't have a hold on it, it will automatically renew 3 days before its due date. Not eligible: items that have reached their renewal limit, items reserved for another patron, and downloadable/streaming content.
Request & Pick Up from Other Libraries
You can request and pick up most items from all CCS libraries from directly within our catalog.
You can be notified of holds, renewals, and overdue items by email, phone, or text.
Return Items to Any CCS Library
You can return most CCS library items to any CCS library and the item will be checked in at that location, immediately clearing it from your account.
No Overdue Fees
Beginning January 2019, Morton Grove residents aren't charged overdue fees for items borrowed from MGPL. Learn more.
