Birth to Age 2 with a parent/caregiver

Practice seated poses in one of the gentlest forms of yoga available, led by certified yoga instructor Joan McGee. All experience levels welcome. Wear comfortable clothes.

Birth to Age 5 with a parent/caregiver

In a last-ditch effort to save the boutique publishing house her father has left her, an ambitious young editor (Plaza) goes on a book tour with a bitter, booze-addled author (Caine) who put the publishing house on the map decades ago.

A puppet storytime for preschoolers. We'll each make a simple puppet craft then use them to act out our stories and songs. 

Ages 3-5 with a parent/caregiver. 

Dress-up in your costume (or come as you are) for some spook-tacular stories, songs, and Halloween fun! 

Birth to Age 5 with a parent/caregiver

Drop-in and build your early literacy skills with alphabet activities. Be prepared to get messy! 

Ages 2-5 with parent/caregiver. 

Select one new-to-you cookbook for each one you bring. Cookbooks must be gently used, stain-free, with no missing pages. Drop off cookbooks at the Info Desk starting on Saturday, October 19.

Come one, come all to a math-tacular spectacular! We'll leap into mathematics with games, stories, and creative play that add up to a circus full of fun.

Ages 3-5 with a parent/caregiver

Paint and decorate a 3-D mini foam pumpkin. Materials provided. 

Grades 2-6

Discover math skills through active learning, and work as a team to build something amazing. This month, we’re building bar graphs.

Grades K-2

If you experience a costume malfunction while trick-or-treating, stop by the Youth Services Desk for a quick fix. We will have duct tape, hot glue, safety pins, and other repair supplies. 

All Ages

Trained therapy dog patiently listens to your child as they Sound out words from a word list or book of their choice. Participants do not need to read independently and will each get a 15-minute session.

Readpool is an adult graphic novel discussion group with a focus on challenging and acclaimed stories.
