Celebrate your Summer Reading Program success! Enjoy a cool treat, water play, and family-friendly fun on the Library Lawn. Wear your Summer Reading Program shirt! Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.

Bring a t-shirt, bandana, cloth bag, hat, or any fabric item for a tie dye makeover. The Library will not be providing materials to tie dye. This event will be held on the Library front lawn , weather permitting.

Bring chairs or blankets and join us on the lawn for live music. Judson Brown Band is violin-driven classic rock with three-part vocal harmony.

In case of bad weather, concerts will be held in the Baxter Auditorium.

Tap into your inner creativity with a fun and easy craft project. This month: Pressed Flower Candle Holder 

Once a month, we turn a STEM idea into an engineering project. Projects are intended for school-aged kids and above, though younger children are welcome to participate with a grown-up.

Feed butterflies by hand and watch as they fly freely around you in this immersive experience. The tent is located on the Library front lawn. In case of bad weather, this event will be held in the Baxter Auditorium.

Fiber artist Natasha Lehrer Lewis will teach you how to create a charming mushroom scene using needle felting techniques. Supplies will be provided. 

Sewing expert Mike Hall will go over all the basics of setting up and using a sewing machine. Sewing machines and supplies will be provided. 

Join Estelle Orleans, our local Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) representative, for a presentation on the admissions process and college applications.
