Come dressed for mess to this outdoor family art program on the Library's front lawn (weather permitting). Each session features a different paint-based process to try.

Grades K-8

Please register once per family/group.

After you earn your Summer Reading shirt, bring it to the Library for some tie-dye fun! Only official Summer Reading shirts will be tie-dyed.

Grab your friends and hangout, watch a show, pick a movie, play games, listen to music, do something crafty, and snack out with us!

Grades 9-12

Create handmade knitted and crocheted crafts for local organizations. Please bring your needles and/or hooks and some acrylic or cotton yarn.

Drop in and create your own fairy garden while supplies last. Limit one garden per person, materials limited to those in attendance.

Grades 1-8

Drop-in for a Bluey party and explore fun stations based on the show. A few lucky kids in attendance will win a Bluey book. 

Ages birth-8 with a parent/caregiver

Learn the basics of embroidery by stitching on a flyswatter! Shooing flies has never looked so good.

Create like the great artists! We will look at the artwork of well-known artists and then use them as inspiration to create our own masterpieces. This session's artist: Jackson Pollock.

Stop by the Activity Room anytime during the hour to design and create your own button, keychain, or magnet! Children under 5 must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.

All Ages

Drop by to trick out your bike in red, white, and blue and launch a stellar stomp rocket or two. This event will be held by the Library bicycle rack (weather permitting).

Spruce up your summer reading t-shirt with tie-dye bleach (weather permitting).

Drop off your favorite stuffed animal for a sleepover at the library on Saturday from 9am-4:30pm! Then, come back to the library on Sunday at 2pm to pick up your stuffed animal, enjoy a story, songs, and a craft.

Drop in the Youth Services Department to make a seasonal craft while supplies last. 

Pick up your stuffed animal from their sleepover at the library and enjoy a story, songs, and a craft! Snack provided. 

Ages 3-5 with parent/caregiver

Sewing expert Mike Hall will go over all the basics of setting up and using a sewing machine. Sewing machines and supplies will be provided.
